Liam didn’t need a clock for him to know it was late, mid night or rather mid morning? He let a frown pull at his lips, his eyes tracing the cracks in the ceiling that were barely visible among the abundance of shadows that the outside lights from the campus’ grounds provided. He shifted, rolling onto his side to peer over at the clock that rested silently on desk across the room, his eyes not being able to avoid pausing on the empty bed opposite of his own. Yep, once again Gabe was absent - he was likely with David again, the only one that kept Gabe from coming back to their dorm room and continuing with the old habits that they had once been forming.
A lump formed in his throat, bottom lip giving a small quiver as the memories from their most recent night filled his mind. ‘Share? All he was doing was asking for a way to have David and I at once, nothing more… he doesn’t love me, what was I thinking?’ he shook his head, cringing at the repetitive thoughts that spoiled his nights more often then not.

It may have taken several nights to have gotten him to this point, his hands pressing roughly against the bed as he hoisted himself up into a sitting position, swinging his legs off the edge of the bed before slowly slipping off and down to the floor. Liam drew his hand up into his hair, pushing back the strands of honey brown just as a shaky sigh managed to leave him. “I need to do this…” he spoke aloud, nodding to himself in confirmation before making his way over to the small desk that hosted a fair amount of scrap paper, torn notes, a paper airplane and various other articles that he frankly found quite useless at the best of times.

Liam seated himself, hands covering over the mass of paper before he forced a rather large inhale, another nod of confirmation and the shift to grasp a pen in his left hand. His eyes closed momentarily, the small amount of courage that he had managed to work up was now dwindling dangerously close with the sickening nerves that made him feel like keeling over and promptly vomiting.

It may have been hours, it may have been simply minutes or even seconds but it felt like forever before he brought the pen down onto the torn page before him, readily starting to write as the words seemed to flow right from his pen across the once blank page.

“Dear, Gabriel.
I already have a feeling you probably won’t read this, you’ll probably simply tear it up and toss it aside with a simple laugh about how pathetic I am or how stupid it is when we could just talk in person and… we have, we have talked in person but… I can’t seem to express myself fully when I am faced with you. I also don’t think you would ever believe me… you may say you do but I don’t believe you truly do, you won’t let yourself.

“I love you, Gabe. I love you and I don’t want to have to share you with David even if I originally made the mistake of running from you… but you have to admit what you did to me would scare nearly anyone off, right? I’d like to hope so… g-god you probably think I am a complete idiot… b-but I need to tell you something else… It’s terrifying for me t———”

Everything happened so quick, the loud, blaring sound of the heavy metal door to the dorm room being kicked opened and then the sudden sharp, unfamiliar pain that hit his back. It didn’t seem like much happened, actually he didn’t even seem to realize it happened until his hand slipped from the paper, leaving a large black line of ink dragging from the letter t onward. Another bang, another sharp pain as his body stilled, his eyes focused straight ahead of him as blood tricked down his arm, curling until it found it’s way onto the desk, slowly soaking the paper.

There was nothing after that, nothing but the distant sound of a door closing, foot steps decending into the distance and the what seemed to be remote sound of his glasses dropping to the floor or was that himself falling from his chair? He couldn’t even be sure if he had fallen.

Heather, I think it is time you just ignore them. They only know Kayla’s side of the story and hey that’s fine, they can believe what they want it’s a free world but you shouldn’t have to deal with them so just ignore them.
They aren’t worth your time and if they feel like wasting their time bothering us then they can go ahead but honestly… you shouldn’t waste yours by responding to them.

No, fuck you. You are staying or I am closing Cane Hill. Nobody cares how long it takes for you to come back, a lot of us are having IRL issues and you know what? If only the people are are a close knit group stay then so be it! If we have to close Cane Hill for a bit due to ALL of us having shit to deal with? Then fine!

I believe ALL of us who are stuck on the idea of staying or who basically love each other enough to wait patiently for one another will be here and willing to continue even if Cane Hill ends up getting to the stage it needs to re-vamp. (Aka re-open, but keep our characters who remain in tact)

That’s what I am doing and I know a few other super busy members are up for doing the same no matter when that happens.

Actually it hasn’t died at all… I mentioned in a post awhile back that post people are away and it is slow due to the following.

2 members on holidays who have multiple characters
Several are having exams or major school things
A few are dealing with major life changes (I do not feel it is my place to speak of what)

and I personally am having health issues and was away on holiday for a bit.

Other admins and I have agreed that if it does “die” we plan to re-vamp it and make it fresh but at this point we have a major plot coming soon.

I apologize for the drama as well, I advise if it’s random anon hate that they turn off anon for a bit but otherwise just to try and ignore it. It’s unavoidable in all roleplays at some point, sadly.

I’ll be back properly tomorrow!
